This is the updated version of our machine bed extrusion...
We have adjusted the main slot so it now fits our T slot Nut plates, and fits the roll in T slot nuts better.
Drill grooves have been adjusted so you are less likely to break through into the main slot when drilling.
This little section was developed by us for making adaptable machine & fabrication beds.
Its ideal for CNC routers, Engravers and whatever else you can dream up.
One face is designed to take our standard 40 series spring nuts, nut Plates, Tee bolts or Clamps.
The 40x20 machine bed is supplied in a mill finish (not anodised like our other extrusions). Being raw finish also makes it possible to mill the surface perfectly flat on router beds and keeps costs down.
Aluminium extrusion can be cut successfully with a standard builders drop saw or mitre saw. Make sure you have a sharp (new) fine tooth blade, and use light oil, CRC or kerosene to ensure a clean cut. Alternatively we can cut to your required length- see Custom Cutting
Cut lengths longer than 1600mm must be sent by heavy freight, not standard courier ($65 for North Island and $75 for South Island addresses). Shorter cut lengths can be sent by courier at much lower rates.

Note this profile has occasional perpendicular lines/blemishes present. These lines are at random, and are part of the way we have managed to keep the cost on this profile down
